As black person I don't expect fair treatment and I don't look for longevity at these companies either and I've worked for some REALLY decent places. I develop as much skills as possible, rape them for benefits (where applicable). do my work and then look for another job that pays more and dip. I've had more jobs than I care to admit but each one has paid more than the previous and that's strickly because I add a new set of skills. I don't fukk with companies that don't use the most current technology either i.e fukking local government.

The job I'm at now I developed a web application and people have forwarded my manager positive feedback about it but do you think I've ever seen it? Nope!! He replies on my oops I mean "our" behalf...becuase anything I developed of course is community property and tells me about it in our one on ones. "Yeah I told her thanks and we were happy to develop a site for her". LMAO! who is "we", my nikka?

fukk these companies, get your money, stack and then get out.

Dogged by black men at the job? Not really. It doesn't take much for a brotha to get fired so why jeopardize it over something trivial? And other people are getting on you because you're BLACK. Not because you're a woman. Black men also have to deal with a lot of nonsense at a job.

shyt is hard enough trying to get a job as it is, to have to deal with racist a$$holes is infuriating to me and I don't even have to deal with them. It's crazy that just having a "black" name will have people throw your resume in the bushes. How do we stop racism on such an institutional level?

I think it also comes down to the people who are doing the hiring for companies. They need to be held accountable in some way. Or have hiring/reviewing resume's as a "group" process with a group of HR people that have varied nationalities/backgrounds?
