Base your opinion of a movie on Rotten Tomatoes scores, brehs.

I guess that means films like the Star Wars prequels, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Avatar, Superman Returns, and Thor: The Dark World are "good."

you really think it's about the movie studios or about the comic book rivalry that has been around since forever?

:jbhmm:
It still doesn't change how absurd it is. It's effectively Disney vs Warner Bros. Next people will argue CW vs ABC.

Pretty sure I explained it already.

Nah, folks are just tired of @Yo Yo Ma's sixtieth troll thread about box office numbers. Civil War is about to pass $700 million worldwide this weekend, after its first domestic weekend. It's opening bigger than BvS in every market too and that's info available to anyone who bothers to check Deadline every once in a while so there's no reason to waste time on this thread other than dropping that one star.

2016 has turned out to be a trying year for Ben Affleck. While he no doubt stands to collect a hefty paycheck from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and a near-guarantee of more to come from its various spin-offs (including his own solo Batman project), he’s also had to watch the film be savaged by critics, ridiculed by pop-culture and branded a box-office disappointment by analysts – with he himself becoming an icon of the film’s negative reception in the form of the now-ubiquitous “Sad Affleck” meme.

Rumor: Ben Affleck Was ‘Humiliated’ By Batman V Superman Response

:sas1:

Where Civil War is head and shoulders above Batman v Superman is found in all the character context provided to us throughout. Every time we see Tony and Steve go head-to-head, it’s tough to shake the “I wish Mom and Dad would stop fighting” vibe, a byproduct of all the well-established interpersonal relationships. It’s partly an advantage of a franchise that’s been around for almost a decade, but it’s also a testament to the considerable work the Russos did making us feel for the myriad of heroes. Steve and Tony have been friends (and sometimes rivals) for years now, and it’s that shared history that makes us feel for their eventual falling-out. That, combined with just enough levity to keep things honest, amounts to a knockout blow for DC’s fledgling superhero universe.
