They need to start breaking down what each did between the hours of 1 PM and 3 PM on a Wednesday. That's the number I'm interested in.To anyone in here comparing numbers on a fukking Monday. shyt is absurd.

CW was all over the place and it ended bittersweet for the ending of a trilogy. WS was more self contained and had more tension.
Now suddenly entire days don't matter because it doesn't shine a positive light on a Disney film
Pathetic.
Meanwhile same posters in the bvs thread calculatin each days percentage drop off and how much profit after home video bvs has made comparable to other films
You can't make this shyt up
Never seen so many statisticians and accountants in my life after BvS came out. People damn near had bell curves, hypothesis, and financial formulas breaking down how that movie was an L for WB, now all of a sudden numbers ain't relevant.
Film room snobs getting aggy
Forgot they was on a coli. Thought they had a safe haven they could just talk about films like mature adults
Hold up when nikkas was shytting on the last movie it was all jokes but when it come to civil war people are "too grown for this"
Doesn't it?
CW $179 mil
BvS $166 mil
i dont see what the debate is eitherNobody for either film said opening under 200 million would be a disappointment. Not one person. If you can find someone that did, by all means quote them.
But I will say here and now that if Civil War doesn't reach a billion total, it definitely WILL be a disappointment. With an opening that big and an all around good reception there's no reason why we shouldn't expect it.
And it still won't change the fact that:
A) It opened bigger than BVS
B) It will likely make more money total than BVS
So I don't see what the debate is.
Breh how sad is your life that all you do is talk bout dc vs marvel like your seeing any of the money? How old are you? It's not that deepI see the typical marvel stans avoiding this thread like the plague
lmao
But tracking had this opening at $215M and beyond. That's not one site or one calculation. Everyone was saying that.
Civil War opening to $179M just shows that comic films have reached their peak. Avengers 5 years ago opened to $207M. Then Age of Ultron opened to $191M. Now Civil War which many say is "Avengers 3" opens to $179M so about $20-30 million less than the original Avengers and that's with the inclusion of Black Panther and Spider-Man which is Marvel's biggest draw.
They aren't going to be upset by the numbers. But tracking had this opening at $215M and beyond. That's not one site or one calculation. Everyone was saying that. Is it a disappointment? No, because they are still going to make a ton of money.
But it does show that people are getting a little tired of superhero movies in general. When you have Furious 7 and Jurassic World making more money than Marvel/DC movies that shows people are looking for alternatives.
