Read somewhere that apparently Hellena said herself in a documentary that the first Bayonetta was only four 4-hour sessions of VA. If she got paid something similar back then, 4k for 16 hours of work is pretty good in terms of most people make for an equivalent amount of time and effort. Obviously her line of work isnt secure since its project to project so she should see more money to compensate for that risk vs the security of a regular desk job.
Also this situation sounds like a case of two things: she took a stand for whatever principles she thought she had and didnt like the consequences - which were completely missing out in the backend benefits and having someone else (aka the new VA) benefit from her work in the previous games as identifying as the new Bayo today - so there is an element of jealousy here. She even calls out the new VA (not by name) in one of her videos and says she should boycott too. Secondly, shes on some Joe Budden shyt and think shes entitled to some of the LTD money this franchise made - and that obviously depends on the deal that was negotiated. Push never got any backend money from McDonalds and he acknowledged he signed a bad deal, but again, this is some Joe Budden shyt where she just being selfish.
The flip side is theres a lot of rumors of Plat games doing fukk shyt over the years, which is obviously working in Hellenas favor in terms of public perception, however theres likely more she isnt saying about the situation due to legal reasons that may help her case or worsen her case.
