The assumption that bayer wouldnt have made this life saving drug, when they did without the profit motive?
the government could do it just as easy breh. they have the same access to all the top minds and talent in the world.

Thoughtless, callous answer...but you guys wonder why antibiotics arent being researched anymore and how we could allow years of medical advances to be undone by resistant bugs....well cases like this is why. Drug companies have mouths to feed too, especially after they put in such an investment into designing and making the drug.
