although the pessimist in me - or i should i say realist - believes it's impossible to salvage this franchise.

Anyway, DC should have done this from the beginning. They needed someone to take control over their universe and make sure everything fits together continuity wise and etc.. Johns knows what he's doing and he has a great track record with getting the DC TV universe up and running and that's been wildly successful so who better to run this than him.

As for Snyder, people keep saying "get him out".. he is out. The last movie he's directing is Justice League and it's going to be a far different project than BvS.

Giving Geoff Johns a larger role with the DC movies is a huge plus. He should be the one guy watching over everything and making sure it all connects. I hope Snyder's stock has dropped with WB in all of this as well. They should really reconsider using him in the future. I don't give a fukk how much work he's put into upcoming films. It's worth considering to scrap him.

I liked BvS but it's not the BvS that I would've liked to have seen, so I'm glad they aren't digging their heels in and being stubborn about the backlash.

That said I hope this is a kick in the ass that the DC Universe needs. I'm fully expecting Suicide Squad and The Batman to be dope.
