this is why the franchise is already done, superman already died. we have already seen the most dramatic thing that could possibly happen in this universe.

if superman's death is now officially off the table, how can you possibly raise the stakes moving forward?

the studio has to be aware of this.

yes thanks bro, Superman dies = end of the universe, what a dummy...

clowns like you that makes marfool stans seem stupid, keep your stupid thoughts to yourself dummy

I doubt if they keep him dead till the absolute end. They will probably bring him back midway through the movie.
Yeah, just sayin' only in half the movie doesn't seem to qualify as a featured character. But I guess it can be quality over quantity to reach that bar.

Geoff Johns Promises To Bring "Hope And Optimism" To The DC Films Universe

spooky
Superman died, nearly twice, to save the world. Hope and optimism was kind of the whole point of the climax of BvS. I get that it's the cool thing to shyt on Snyder, but BvS was a natural progression towards what all the nerds have been asking for. Hope, optimism, what it truly is to be a hero, what Superman represented were all themes targeted in the last ten or so minutes of the movie. I guess Superman, Batman, and Wonder Women could have Milly Rocked to beat Doomsday but Snyder decided against it:yeshrug:

Did he even try to win against Doomsday? He like oned himself. That's depressing, not hopeful or optimistic.

The trio was getting wrecked. He flew dude into space and they got hit with a fukking nuclear missile. Dude regained consciousness, grabbed a Kryptonite(thing that fukks him up) spear and stabs Doomsday with it and Doomsday stabs him in his weakened state. He didn't one himself, he died saving the world since that was the only way he could defeat the bad guy. It didn't happen the same way in the comics, but he died defeating the same villain in the comics.

I could have responded to the whole depressing point by pointing out that people created hope and faith out of a dude being tortured and killed for their sins and created a religion around it, but I figured the Jesus symbolism was overtly obvious since Man of Steel.

I distinctly remember WW was holding her own and had Doomsday in her lasso. She wasn't getting wrecked.
He told Lois it was basically the end before even attacking. How did he know? He just went at Doomsday on some 'oh well here's where I die' shyt. It would have been more hopeful optimistic if he tried his best/fought to his last dying breath. Did they even try a plan or teamwork so they could all live? It was poorly executed and barely dramatic.

When did they have time to plan anything? Doomsday started fukking shyt up the second they knew he existed. They figured out how to kill him mid-fight. The spear needed to kill him is the same spear that was going to be used to kill Superman. Just being near it was harmful to him. Wonder Woman was holding Doomsday down with the lasso. She wasn't doing any harm to him during the fight, he was just getting stronger. Batman isn't strong enough to penetrate Doomsday's exterior (pause) so it leaves Superman up to the task. You distinctly remember a part of the fight but forget the worldwide response to Superman's death, which was one of hope and optimism. You forget the man whose sole purpose was to kill Superman ended up being encouraged to find other metahumans to protect the world. You forget that same man's response to Wonder Woman saying that men are horrible was that men are still good. Hope and optimism is what everything post death of Superman was about in that film. It would have been more hopeful if he continued doing what wasn't working until he died which would have meant the end of the world as opposed to him doing what he knew might mean his death but would save a world full of people who hated him/blamed him for the events at the end of Man of Steel? "If you seek his monument, look around you" was one of the last images in the movie. The end of the movie was all about foreshadowing what miserable nerds have been asking for for years.
