I got it for free with my card so I don't really care too much but do i really gotta deal with consoles gimping my gaming experience like this? My 980ti comin soon and I cant even get the most out of it with these optimized games.
It's not consoles gimping it, it's a bad port. Ridiculous.
The PS4 version is the definitive edition
it's pc gimping if anything. They made the pc version worse than the consoles. Worse visually, worse performance wise, worse all around. It's a damn shame
Is the ps4 version 1080p/60fps?
Its pretty wild, if you get a good pc port the console versions are always gimped somewhere, if you get a good console port the PC version is always gimped somewhere.
From what I read, WB/rocksteady outsourced the PC port to some 3rd rate company and then released a statement throwing them under the bus.
It really is a poor porting job and I got caught up on the cheaper version of the pc (cant go wrong with $21), otherwise I would have bought the PS4 version.
The game though is solid despite the stuttering frame rate, the batmobile is insane and heck of a lot of fun..
Don't think I'm gonna go and grab the ps4 version, will wait till someone on Craigslist sells it for 40 or something.

Just picked mine up from BB,installing it while I eat,got the batman skin for my controller,idk if I should slap that hoe on or not

that IMO is where consoles do hold us back. they design the game around a 30fps target, but then it doesn't scale well beyond that. they obviously knew this because the game 'shipped' on PC with a 30fps cap in an .ini file. it's no secret that in 2015 PC gamers expect their games to run at 60fps or higher, but there was no mention of this pre-release
the benchmark has an unlocked framerate, but then the game is capped at 30. wtf is that? they also raised the minimum AMD card requirement like a day before release. they knew this shyt was a hot mess on PC. they probably stripped out AO and those rain effects last minute to try to gain a little performance
we'll have to see if they can fix this shyt. like I said, IMO they knew about this shyt, and it may be inherently built into the game
