when many of those cities existed before they were a part of the united states you sorta gotta expect for them to be flavored that way. It's not like San Antonio was a patch of dirt and then america got texas and then create San Antonio. San Antonio existed prior to being an american city. Ergo the MEXICAN in that city has deeper legal roots that many "white" Americans, and deeper than ALL of those who came in via elise island in that texas and the inhabitants of its cities were made citizens when we acquired texas....the point is more to address the idea that "these people" just got here and have no roots or also the idea that AMERICA doesn't have hispanic roots as well.Twism is right. I don't have a problem with the boy, It didn't even cross my mind that this would be an issue....
but to be fair, Their is nothing legal or illegal about ethic cultures... so hispanic culture in american cities can't LEGALLY predate any established city.
History of San Antonio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediano not really, what does "mexican oriented" mean
san antonio is an american city that has a lot of people of mexican descent, but they are americans not mexican
San Antonio in particular was well established prior to becoming an american city so it will have it's historical flavoring. While they are American there is NOTHING the prohibits AMERICANS from wearing stuff like that listening and singing whatever they want...somehow you've confused talking and singing in spanish as not being American; when in fact it's as American as apple pie.
nor Am I. I doubt the kid singing the AMERICAN national anthem is either. Have you seen mexico lately? there's a reason people put life and limb on the line to get here.im not down with racists and trolls but im not down with greater aztlan either
