Things should stay the same but at the same time people argue that there's a change in the times we live in. Back in the days the only thing baseball competed with was boxing. Now it has to compete with the other sports leagues, movies, xbox/playstation, the internet, 100+ cable channels, busier work schedules, etc.. plus the fact that we have HD televisions and in some cases its cheaper and better to watch a game at home.

-that's where this talk always comes from

I get that but how many fans would this pull in and how many fans would it push away it seems silly to me i dont think much if any progress would be made it would most likely hurt the MLB more then it would help.

Exactly, baseball is steeped in tradition more than any sport. EVERY single change is scrutinized and criticized like it's the end of the world by these so called purist, and frankly, they won't allow certain things to be change. EVERY change in baseball is met with resistance whether the change is right or wrong, positive or negative

Baseball been breaking attendance records every year for the past 5 years..the only place people think baseball is in trouble is on hiphop sites with with a bunch of nikkas who dont like the game

Unless cas and hispanics get killed off baseball gonna be fine..

I have no problem with replay they just do it retardedly they should do it like the NHL have a ump upstairs who watches the play and relays it to the umps on the field instead of having the umps go into that room to watch the video wouldnt take long at all. See if its a reasonable change i'm down.

Dont even get me started on there being no DH in the NL but they'll never change that even though there wrong and should.

Im a NL guy, so I actually think pitchers should hit in the Al. No reson, just because I have NL allegiance :manny:

60 games (home and away against every team) and that's it

:dwillhuh: ..so a two month season? And every day being a travel day? I don't have a problem cutting the season down a few games, maybe to 150, but I think they should shorter the season by playing doubleheaders....like one a week. So many teams are carrying 13 pitchers anyway.

the only idea I've ever had is a pitch clock akin to the shot clock in basketball...basically, you have to pitch the ball or check a runner in a certain amount of allotted time...but, as a former pitcher, I can see a lot of pitchers not liking this...however, I wouldn't have cared cuz I didn't take too much time between pitches anyway :kanyeshrug:
