Tons of books cite that tigers always won, but these are more modern people who take abstracts of tigers are larger than lions then assume the tigers always won, hence they do not cite a plate, poet, mosaic, artifact or any other form of tangible evidence. The lions mane makes it interesting but the Tigers Paw strikes are much faster and would most likely daze the lion easily gives the tiger time to digg into that mane. One paw strike and and lion is going down the tiger will the pounce there's no hair on the face.
