but i'm saying, it's been out though, it's not a dual release. And it's literally been over a month. If you're still getting upset with people over spoilers for a movie that's been out at theaters for a month that you waiting to stream you're an a$$hole (obviously not you, just making a point).Breh it started streaming on HBO max YESTERDAY
First 40 minutes are a master class in horror and suspense, then does a complete 180 once the “monster” is revealed at the end of act 1. A subversive turn, but I fukked with it regardless because of how it was done. Also dug the scenes where we went back in time to see how he house/neighborhood was before it went to shyt
I didn’t like when
Tess first escaped and went back for AJ. That made me so angry, because that wasn’t her personality at all previously, she was scared as hell, but all of a sudden wants to be the hero. She should’ve just got in the car and took off.
Justin Long did amazing in this, as well as Skarsgard. He just looks like he’s up to no good, so to play on that was genius, and set up a very tense act 1. Georgina Campbell is so fineShe played her role so well and it was believable until the parts of the spoiler that I brought up above
The Whitest Kid U Know just made the Horror film of the year
I didn’t like how dumb Tess moved either, but I appreciated the way it still served a purpose in the story. 
She’s initially scared to death, even does as much as to look back at the exit door, but goes down those steps for Keith anyways. Whereas with AJ, his character is so despicable and selfish that I have a really hard time believing he would do the same for her. His actions in the climax practically confirmed such.
They wrote Justin Long’s character well, lol. Dude was generating more heat than X-Pac with every passing minute.

I was high as hell when I saw it at the theatre and wrote my take on it. Saw it again sober as hell and although didn’t have the same impact when I was high, still was a really good movie.. it still is #1 to me… I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a horror movie that much honestly…

You talking the one from 1982? Ain’t no flick from 1982 for me gonna beat the rush of a movie from the last decade… too shytty film quality. And I wouldn’t call the other one from 2011 horror from what I remember
The Thing prequel could’ve been salvageable if the studio didn’t completely sabotage it. The OG from Carpenter is a classic off the practical effects and Ennio’s score alone though. The effects in that film still holds up and beats the CGI-fest in many joints today.

I watched off the strength of the coli’s recommendation. It was entertaining, but we spent the entire movie yelling at the screen and I never do that.
That inbred trailer park mutant girl was creepy until we understood more about her.
We figured it was gonna kill the breh once he started doing all that talking and explaining how he’s been safe for 15 years.
