well. for one's he a FA after the season. a 2nd rounder dead ass will be cheaper to retain and could probably address specific needs, like shooting. bottom line, Okafor wouldnt even play on this roster...Brook is better, and you cant play him with Nance or Randle cause shooting. Horrible rim protector, abused in PNR, not a good passer. I cant think of a worse fit at C.
the defensive has improved drastically from last year though, and he is a part of that. Okafor simply has not been good and has only shown flashes of scoring in the post. Okafor cant even garner a 2nd roudn from any team in the league, thats pretty telling. the team would become worse defensively if he got any substantial minutes, and he just doesnt fit what Luke tryna do. The team is trash.
However, Okafor, talent for talent, is better than Randle. Adding Okafor for simply a 2nd round pick would only make the team better....not worse.
My only issue with getting Okafor right now is they need to clear some players first and I think they would alienate him in free agency going after Cousins.

This is the first time in a while they have some legit pieces. Ingram's showed quite a bit of growth and Kuzma is a baller. Clarkson's one of the best sixth men in the league. Nance, KCP and Randle have been good role players this year.
If Ball stops playing like a scrub and shows anything later in the year, they're a fairly attractive FA destination in my biased opinion.
