There isn't any 2nd round pick the Lakers can get who will be a better player than Jahlil Okafor...yall tripping.


I don't care what other teams are balking it, the Lakers cant afford to balk at anything. Okafor, right now, would at worst be the 3rd best player on our team.


If we can get him, for a lowly 2nd round pick, then we need to do it asap.

Yeah, no reason for Lonzo to be getting this kinda treatment. Kobe had to prove himself and if Lonzo is playing this bad he needs to do the same and hit the bench.

Instincts, feel, touch around the basket. Can make the short jump shot and the bank shot. He doesn't let double teams fluster him or rush his decisions. These are things Howard, Drummond, Deandre, etc still can't grasp. He is very fluid and comfortable down there.

He will have time to refine the "post master" level of skills because he will come in with advanced fundamentals.

I wanted Okafor. I was disappointed when they drafted Russell.

Unless Okafor becomes injury prone (knock on wood), he will probably be a 20/10/4asst/1.5blk guy by year 2 on a rookie scale.

I want Okafor... My gut is telling me he will be the best player in the draft if we take him.

I'm just not sold on Russell's potential. I feel like he will be a good 22 ppg scorer and that's it.

Okafor would get them contending sooner than Towns. With Towns you have to develop his game, figure out his strengths and weaknesses, then adjust the roster. They can draft Jahlil now and know what direction to take the team.

Dead ass, I know that Julius would have been on borrowed time if we selected Okafor.

I'm hurting over this... Luckily we are a FA destination, but man Okafor is going to be a monster in this league. I think it was a mistake.

What makes you think his BBall IQ is higher than Okafor's?

We don't need another big that can put the ball on the floor if we have Randle. And Okafor can dribble just fine for a big.

You really have to reach and speculate to justify picking him over Okafor in our situation.

Yeah but now his game doesn’t translate in today’s NBA nor on this current iteration of the Lakers. I wouldn’t waste a pick on him. That’s an asset and we draft well in the 2nd round.

Nance is fine but he shouldn’t be holding back Kuzma from getting minutes. And he wasn’t bad last night but he wasn’t our best player.
