Now this is the question isn't it? We haven't seen him do anything but squash matches, we don't know if he's actually talented. So they really booked themselves into a corner here. They don't know if he can survive a loss at this point in his career, even an interference ridden loss, and they certainly don't know if he can be champion. So if they give him the belt and he flops, that's a career killer, but even if he succeeds they've taken an integral part of the Punk/Rock build out of the picture. I don't think it's worth the risk to give him the belt right now due to the questions over his actual talent, but that's also the reason why I wouldn't give him a pinfall loss in his first main event.

Very true . They booked themselves into a corner and to have punk lose is worse it ruins a year build up of him to do what ? Elevate a talent who that's shown no long term viability

After speaking with backstage WWE sources, WZ has learned more details behind the controversy surrounding the outcome of Sunday's WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Ryback.

We're told the top WWE decision makers are split down the middle on whether Ryback should leave Atlanta with the WWE title.

It seems Triple H is of the opinion, and there are others who agree with him, that CM Punk should not lose the title. Vince McMahon, on the other hand, is leading a group of people who feel a shocking Ryback win for the title is the best decision.

There is concern from those who are in favor of CM Punk retaining that a Ryback title win might not go over well in the locker room. While sources didn't suggest Ryback is disliked, many respect CM Punk for all the hard work he's put in. It seems there are those who feel a Ryback win would serve as an immediate shock and a huge boost to his push—but ultimately would be a bad decision for future business.

When asking several sources their gut feeling on who would walk out with the title, they all said they feel by the final hour, the decision will be to go with CM Punk. However, one quickly added that with Vince being a big fan of Ryback, it wouldn't surprise them if he ignored other concerns and went with the young star.

WZ has learned from sources that John Cena's elbow is said to be completely healed.

Cena appeared on WWE programming this past week with no brace on the elbow. We've learned since then, another medical test has revealed his elbow is doing even better. This has led to talk backstage of getting him physically involved during Hell in a Cell.

No word yet on if he would be inserted into a match or just given a spot, but sources tell us this positive medical news has opened up new options for WWE in booking the pay-per-view.
