What about the "I graduated with a liberal arts degree and all I got was this decade of debt" T-shirt?

Saying higher education in the traditional sense isn't necessary is not anti-education.

:stopitslime:

Suggesting to someone to choose their major wisely is different than suggesting that a 4 year degree is trivial and it's better to just do self study. If it was strictly about self study, then all jobs would require only experience and no education

I think either extreme end of the spectrum is crazy, but overall people should do what they are passionate about, college or no college, it's all about self discovery on your journey to financial independence.

Any good college experience does not only involve classroom results. That self discovery is apart of the overall college experience. Not saying you cannot have the same discovery from traveling the world, but there's more to college than worrying about debt

i dont think theres a position at my company that would hire anyone without a college degree. literally every job opening i've read not only requires a college degree but sometimes masters is the minimum requirement :merchant:

I agree with you for the most part, but unfortunately debt is very real and is causing a generation to collapse under that mountain of debt.

My wife makes 100k with just a high school education in year two on the job, while I have 4 degrees and it would be almost impossible for me to find a career where I made that much in my second year with my education.

:banderas:

Oh, sorry, I forgot... only Bill Gates dropped out of college with success.

:whoa:

No it's not, the whole student debt crisis is overblown

Very expensive, meaning a large amount of debt will be required for the majority.

Do you wish to continue?

yeah and people should definitely be careful and finance their education with the least amount of debt

i can continue as long as you want, do you have anymore questions?

There are really no questions on my end. I am just making sure you realize how stupid your comment was.

Student loan debt is a HUGE problem and your simple ass solution as "state school" just doesn't cut it. You've already admitted you are wrong in saying it's very expensive.
