Yooo so me and my girl are looking to buy a condo out here in BK...smh, these prices are thru the roof. shyt's disgusting. Might just end up buying a house instead, but we plan to relocate in about 2 years.

This. If you were already a property owner, you basically became a millionaire overnite Jan. 2013. If you own a brownstone, you're :cook:.

They opened up a FroYo spot, a crossfit gym, and a dope patisserie near my crib and I ain't even mad. They closed down some .99 cent stores and jewelry/cell phone joints.

Few things I noticed. Hipsters don't work a 9-5. What the hell they do for a living? They always going to the gym, or dressed like it, but they not in good shape. NH.
Theres so much dog sh!t everywhere now, they never clean up after they're expensive azz yorkies. I'm about to cop a camera on my property just to bag them.:martin:

I was talking to a white Latina classmate yesterday about her trip to Brooklyn. She was like, "OMG Brooklyn is not the ghetto place they portray it to be. There are like tons of hipsters and coffee shops. Everyone is cool nice and friendly. I'm definitely moving up there to get my masters"

It made me think of the gentrification going on over there.

Fort Greene and the border area of Clinton Hill are straight :blessed: status thanks to the money that's come in

Might be the best place to live in NYC, especially with its easy access to the C line to get into Manhattan pretty quickly

I feel like the hood (at least in New York) has always had mostly boring chain businesses, not counting generic things like laundromats and bodegas

There's like 2 condos we are considering in that area. The things is those building be having like $500+ maintenance fees and building material be cheap as shyt. That would probably push our monthly budget by a little...with that + mortgage payments+ taxes each month. We tryna live here for maybe a year or two more then sale. Considered buying a house for the same price buuuut condos are more prevalent in the popping areas which make them easier to re-sale to younger people who are not thinking about a fam at that moment. Houses will more likely be sold to those with a fam and its way more inspections and things that have to be done in order to sale them.
