One of the weaker free agency periods and most teams have no money. When the NBA season is over won't be much to talk about as far as free agency. Surprisingly enough lavine is one of the top free agents who will be on the market. So to make news they have to kick up some rumors
Whatever transpires we come out on the winning end imo. I don't see any scenario where lavine just leaves. Either he re-signs here for the most money he can get or we agree to a s&t with a team and gut they assets. So I'm not worried at all.

the bulls aren't losing lavine. the teams he likely would wanna join (clippers/lakers) don't have the money or assets to sign him. nor can they acquire him in a sign & trade since they aren't gonna part with any of their star players.
thus he's stuck going to the spurs/pistons/blazers/thunder and teams of that caliber
none of those places are more desirable than being on the bulls.
sure he will take meetings with teams, but I expect him to sign for the max
