Zach LaVine said that he plans to explore the market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

"I plan to enjoy free agency," said LaVine on Friday. "We're going to have to experience A through Z without making any fast decisions."

LaVine added that he isn't necessarily leaning in the Bulls' direction.

"I have to do this as a business decision, as a man, to not just be viewed one way and be like I'm automatically coming back or I'm automatically leaving," said LaVine.

The Bulls can currently offer a max contract worth more than $210 million over five seasons. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas was focused on his relationship with LaVine, adding "the last two years have been the best two years of his career, so we'll see what happens."

LaVine is currently set to undergo knee surgery this offseason.

Simply business. Can't exactly place all your eggs in one basket. Give the impression you may look elsewhere to keep the bulls in check.

But do I believe lavine is leaving Chicago to join San Antonio......:mjlol:

What buisness is there to do tho? Thats what im confused about. We can offer him the most years and money. Its fine if he doesnt commit to resigning in an exit interview thats the smart thing to do. But he's really goin the extra step to say he's actually gonna look around... his wording has me nervous tbh.

Being with rich Paul not surprised at all by the wording. We can have all the faith in the world Michael AK and me will do the right thing and max him but it's equally a chance they may choose to pass on it based on his health. From a business standpoint I get forcing the bulls hands. Especially considering the 1st time around he technically was signing with the kings and we matched. I'm sure that still lingers in his head. It's a business 1st. I'm sure that is all that is playing out here.

Another factor, what if another free agent is hollering at the bulls on the back end and wants to join us which will convince akme to let lavine go? There are a lot of ways things can play out. So im not mad at lavine at all for looking out for himself.

But going from here to San Antonio? Bwahaha

If I was a first time FA, I would want to wine and dine too:hubie:sounds like a fun experience but I am 99% sure he will be back with the Bulls unless he got some personal issues we dont know about

We'll start hearing about internal riffs or things that Zach wasn't happy with after he signs with a new team if that does end up happening.

Given the fact that we can offer him the most money, Klutch would likely want his guys in one of the biggest markets in the league, we already have a good enough relationship with Klutch, to the point that they tried to get Zo here last year and we signed him so fast over the summer that we got fined, I can't see him leaving unless we give him an insulting offer.

Zach is getting national commercials that I don't think he gets with any of the teams that have cap space.

Lavine played like ass the second half of the season and the playoffs series with MIL.

Gotta resign and redeem his name.

So does DeFrozen

Vuc needs some milk his pts and rebounds feel like empty number when he's out there being punked and passive

Everyone else needs to stay healthy. I know injuries are a part of the game but those injuries and covid instances really fukked up the momentum.
