On the subject of Punisher, I was hyped when they announced they were going to have him start mixing it up with the rest of the MU again. Fell off when they had him under the Hate Monger's control and he murdered some innocent woman. I don't even think he remembered doing it, so there was no emotional trauma or guilt and that was too fukked up for me because there was no resolution to that, that I'm aware of.

shyt got worse when he became Franken-Castle and I gave up. That was god awful and dumb as hell to recast Frank as an actual monster. Then I read he somehow got returned to his normal form.

I can't remember how schism was resolved, but cyke and logan fighting with the sentinel above them was real shyt. I can't remember what was said but one of the two hit the other with some ether that jumped the fight off. Something about what jean grey would say if she could see them now
Astonishing X-men one of my last favorite x-arc. Whedon wrote his ass off on that shyt and it ended right. That's the single reason I knew he was gonna knock avengers outta the park, and even with that he was thrown in the mix at the last minute. With AOU coming up he's had more time to write so shyt's gonna be classic.

I think it was Wolverine saying that Jean Grey would never go for this that made Cyclops kick it off. Cyke blew the skin off Logan's skull. It's always hilarious to me when Cyclops blasts Logan out of nowhere. Matter of fact, between Cyke blindsiding Logan multiple times with it, and Hope randomingly blasting Cyke, 70% of the time optic blasts are used are to troll someone.

I got back into comics right when House of M was finishing and Infinite Crisis was beginning and I stopped reading new superhero comics around 2013, but I can honestly say I was more entertained reading DC's work than Marvel. And during that time Infinite Crisis/52 was the the best big crossover event from either company, IMO.
I just couldn't get into any crossover event from Marvel. I believe it's either the writing, the fact that each event seems to cram as many people as they can, and/or that the events are always happening.

I think that DC has better universe spanning crossovers than marvel. And the impacts of their events seem more important than marvel. At the end of the day, it's all about personal tastes.

Except Superman is infallible and is always the saving grace. That bullshyt got played out a lifetime ago. That's why no one cares about that animated series he had compared to Batman TAS. Darkseid killing the cop at the end were the best one and that was it. They can have any crossover but Superman isn't gonna be in any real peril. Silly, boring, and predictable.
