Na, man, don't view it in terms of characters. Go into it for the story.

I didn't know shyt or care about most of those characters going in, but the stories are :wow: :banderas:

I still don't care for Nova or the Inhumans. :ld:

Don't get me started on the inhumans fam. .......straight sleep status. GOTG ish was dope. V3 was legit dope. make you care and all. Which made the movie that much more doper. But The Inhumans nah....no.

The Punisher and his 9 lives..but then the Wolverine stuff is stupid too. Surviving fights with Thanos and Galactus.

Dawg I'm a cyclops fan so its obligatory that I hate wolverine at this point. BUT. that being said. Some human with martial arts training and a military background going against nikkas like Spider-man and Bullseye etc...nah. I give that shyt the same side eye I give Wolverine vs Hulk, Juggernaut etc..

I can't read the Punisher. It's too silly. Why does Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Spider Man put up with him? He's killed, right? Nah...he's not like Magneto, Sabretooth, or Carnage. You can't just stop them because you want to. There's gonna be a fight, causalties, and consequences. Punisher? He's just a human with a gun who stands NO fukkING CHANCE if Spider Man says "THAT's ENOUGH".

If Frank Castle killed Spider Man, that's PIS at it's BEST. The DEFINITION of PIS:laugh: We might as well let Jubilee beat Juggernaut:laugh:

true shyt. Bendis deserves alot of credit for his run.

Nah...Marvel and marketing deserves it. It was smart. Add on Spider Man and Wolverine and turn the X Men into the more boring and predictable Cyclops show. Ever since they did the focus on him, the franchise has never been the same. Cyclops acting like a more noble version of Exodus doesn't ride. And it damn sure wasn't gonna sell. Even though Gillen did get them back to #1 during his run and kicked Bendis out of the top spot towards the last reboot.

I try to tell people this. Avengers didn't become "huge" because of Bendis. Avengers became huge because Marvel shifted it's business model from being a comic book company to more marketing their books like a record company panders to radio.

Avengers just happened to be Marvel Records' new "SuperGroup" with all their popular acts.

And just like record labels, they went to all the major outlets and paid them for coverage and reviews.

So while the regular readers were all talking about how boring the "decompression" style was, how all the characters sounded alike, how dumb all the retcons were, how horrible the dialect was.... you couldn't help but look in magazines and find 5 page articles on the brilliance of Spiderman throwing Wolverine out of a window for flirting with MJ and major review sites were giving issues 4.5/5 every month.

Because of that, you had a bunch of people telling "haters" that the book HAD to be good. Look how popular it was. Bendis just having fun ouchea. They're on the cover of The Source and XXL every month!

Just like music, to this VERY DAY that "fun ouchea" crowd only talks about popularity and sales over story quality. Bendis is still very much a "SuperProducer" with ghost producers and they'll slap his name on a shytty product to boost sales.

And just like the music industry, there's nothing but popular trash events and comics on the radio right now, and all the good music is being released on underground and indy labels like Image and Valiant.

Doomwar could've been such an epic event as well if Marvel editorial didn't practically ruin it, telling Mayberry he couldn't use the X-Men anymore two issues in so he had to adapt his story to it, then forcing him to waste half an issue midway to recap the story because they suddenly realized people were *shock* liking the event and thinking it was gonna pick up new readers midway through the story (because that happens all the time, right?), only to make him cram Deadpool into the story as well because that was really going to help sell it. And somehow people blamed Mayberry for how anticlimactic the story ended despite Marvel editorial practically making him waste two full issues worth of pages on bullshyt that didn't need to be there.
