"Civil War" will never work with the way things are, with Marvel's characters being owned by different people. The core "Avengers" team is either well known to the public, or doesn't care if the public knows who they are. The last scene of the movie is them sitting in a restaurant eating, they don't really have much to hide.

Yup, I think The Avengers gonna get their ass-whipped in the sequel. I think it's gonna be like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back type sequel, where the villian wins and they take him down in the 3rd movie.

Your foresight is impressive, but you should have just stopped there. The humans and the Asgardian fought well and valiantly in New York. However they along with the vast majority of your kind have no concept whatsover of the POWER, the sheer SUPERIORITY of the rightly disposed beings that have roamed the celestial planes before this planet had civilized inhabitants. Your "heroes" have no idea of what true power is. But......you all shall be made to understand

*prepares for a dip into the Lazarus Pit and teleportation into different solar system to watch Earth's day of doom with Uatu*

That was after the restaurant had closed tho... Not really in public.. But yeah with no spiderman = no civil war...But stranger things have happened with comic book movies so... One shouldn't hold their breath

i still don't understand the back and forth between avengers and tdk...

of course avengers is going to make more money than tdk it has 3 MAIN superhero's and a whole bunch of other superheros that are just chilling in the background.

that triliogy will make more money than batman period because it came after batman... but that doesn't necessarily make it a better movie. no one had no legendary preformances and if they did we can wait when the academy awards drop to see what the avengers get mentioned in...

with that being said don't compare the two. they are apples in oranges because they both have different visions. batman at least to me appears to be more "real" film and avengers is a "comic" book movie
:wtf: what does avengers coming out after batman have to do with anything? green latern came out after batman and it flopped hard

‘The Avengers’ Post-Credits Scenes Explained | Screen Rant

Without getting too deep into the Marvel Comics history of Thanos, this scene, albeit totally confusing to non-Marvel Comics fans, is important as it is likely teasing the villain for next year’s Thor 2. We know from Tom Hiddleston’s interviews in promoting The Avengers, that Loki and Thor return to Asgard in the Thor sequel and there’s a greater villain at play which just may force the (not by blood) brothers to work together. It’s likely that Thanos will be coming to get at least one of the artifacts found in Odin’s Vault (image below), as shown in the first Thor film. Thanos needs the Infinity Gauntlet and Thor 2 must show him coming to get it. From there, Thanos will show up in Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie which remains unannounced but could come in 2014 or 2015, and if not, The Avengers 2, likely in 2015.

You can see a person in the background cleaning up during the restaurant scene.

:wtb: records are meant to be broken. It will be interesting to see what this new batman does

If Batman does over 170 mill opening week, I'd be shocked.

shyt better have tremendous word of mouth.

Then it might be able to catch the Avengers long term.

Fresh out the gate, it's not seeing Avengers numbers (208 mill opening week)...You're not going to see two phenomenons like that in the same year.It never happens

TDKR will come close I think. With most people knowing this is Nolan's last part of "his" Batman it'll do pretty good. But I don't know if it'll match or surpass it.
