Saw it a second time tonight, it was actually even better the second time. A lot of the dialogue had more meaning in retrospect.

The movie was cool. Iron man was the shyt and so was the hulk. And for real, there were some funny ass scenes in the movie like with the interaction between the super heroes. And Scarlett Johansson...

I don't really understand what's corny about it. Humorous, yes. Corny, no. I hope to God people don't expect all comic book movies to go the Nolan route and be dark and serious for no reason. There's a precedent for that for Batman, Miller's version....there is no precedent for it in "The Avengers".

There was nothing corny about the dialogue. Most of it was legitimately funny. You want to see corny shyt? Watch the Fantastic Four movies.

I don't see why anyone can't be a fan of both. I grew up reading both Marvel and DC and the movies work well for both.
Because this is the land of the internet nerd and these fanboy nikkas are to good to like both movies so they want to be loyal to one.
