The Marvel and Disney blockbuster made $200 million for its opening in China this weekend. The film, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, is the second biggest 3-day weekend opening ever in China, when measured in local currency, according to Disney.[

It passed other hit films on the all time worldwide list like "The Avengers," "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Furious 7," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," "Frozen" and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." The film has also already passed Marvel's last cinematic phenomenon, "Black Panther."

Four of the top ten films on the all time global list belong to Marvel Studios.

Back in the states, the film took the top spot at the box office once again nabbing an estimated $61.8 million. "Infinity War" has now made $548 million in North America, which makes it the eighth biggest domestic release of all time

This movie gon hit 2 billion
It may, but probably not. this is where it's really gonna start to slow down with deadpool and solo coming out b2b.

That's why I said it was so smart of them to move the release date up a week from may 4th.

they did it geniously too from a PR standpoint with that "its cuz RDJ asked on twitter" angle.

It just had the biggest opening weekend in China ever and estimates are it will make between 300 - 400 million total there which would out pace a lot of similar movies. Therefore, 2 Billy is actually in the 'likely' category now.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Becomes the Highest Grossing Superhero Movie of All Time

Avengers: Infinity War is officially the king of all superhero movies at the box office.

Avengers: Infinity War dominated the global box office this weekend, earning another $349 million worldwide and bringing its global total to $1.607 billion. That's enough to become the fifth-highest grossing movie of all time, passing by Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Black Panther, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Furious 7, and the former king of the superhero box office, the original Marvel's The Avengers.

Infinity War's big weekend is largely due to a huge opening in China, where the film made $200 million in its first weekend.

Avengers: Infinity War had the highest-grossing opening weekend of all time at the domestic box office, earning $257.6 million. The film earned $112.5 million in its second weekend at the domestic box office, which is the second-highest second weekend of all time behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ $149 million. It is expected to make another $60 million domestic this weekend.

Avengers: Infinity War is also the fastest movie to ever reach $1 billion at the box office globally, making it the sixth Marvel Studios film to reach that benchmark. Domestically, the film just became the second-fastest to $500 million.

Avengers: Infinity War also broke a record with its opening in Russia. Here's a list of some of the other box office records that Avengers: Infinity War has broken so far.
