Tony had the Nanobot suit in Infinity war. 100% could have pulled the stones off like he did in Endgame. He had the perfect opportunity to do it when Mantis, Fate, Spidey, Drax and him where trying to pull the gauntlet off Thanos before Quill fukked it up.

Nanotech slight of hand still feasible.

Actually the Nanotech slight of hand wasnt feasible in Infinity War. In Infinity War, Thanos had the regular guantlet so Tonys nanotect can't interface with it. The glove Thanos had in Endgame was made out of Tony's nanotech. That's why Tony could quickly get the stones off. The nanotech in his armor is the same nanotech that the glove was made out of.

Finally watched this film and it was decent. I'm a big Thanos fan(A REALLY BIG ONE) and I did not like how weak he was without the IG. Where was his energy manipulation powers or shielding? He was just brute force.

I don’t think the MCU Thanos has any powers without the gauntlet other then super strength and intelligence.

He held the Tessaract cube, which was housed around the space stone.

But looking back, I think it was only the power stone that killed folks by holding it

an interesting angle could’ve been that the OGs were the ones that got snapped while the new ones are looking for a way to bring them back

or maybe stark just gets killed outright on Titan

Infinity stones will disintegrate organic matter but can be housed in something non "living"/ inorganic, and everyone who got affected by them was touching them with raw flesh, whereas Nick was grabbing the space stone with a glove on (inorganic material)
