everyone is far too confident in the MCU Xmen. people always cite the Avengers for being a "b squad" but they were new. it was fresh to see them in movies. MCU is flabby and sick and about to hit us with basically the 3rd iteration of the gay ass Xmen, i'm not so sure the rennaissance is gonna happen like some expect.

Especially since they have to adapt new stories. That Fox didn’t already do or fukked up(Phoenix Saga, Weapon X saga, Apocalypse saga, Days of Future Past, etc). Not saying that those stories are the only good X-men stories. But Fox did adapt a hand full of X-men’s greatest hits. So we’ll see, rumors are saying that Mr. Sinister might be the villain. For the MCU’s first X-men movie so I’m interested.

They don't HAVE to do anything. Fox ran the phoenix saga literally every single run of the X-men... Batman still running the same 3 villians in 3-4 trilogies.

Marvel could drop right in with the Origins or skip to dropping them in an already made MCU and still do any of the stories named and nobody would care.



That's what Marvel doesn't get and is afraid of... They started this as one long story and they feel the NEED to keep it going. It's almost 20 years of MCU... Start the fukk over, start in another dimension, start something new.... But locking yourself into characters over decades is not gonna work for obvious and clear reasons
