I’m finally watching it now. I was aware of pretty much everything being discussed in the film but holy shyt it reminds of why I can’t stand conservatives/republicans. They’ve got these republicans and ALEC reps on here just spewing nonsense and bullshyt. Scust.

Glad to see Michelle Alexander on there. Listening to her speak changed the whole trajectory of my life a few years ago.

Also glad they highlighted how the war on drugs and mass incarceration started with Reagan and Nixon. Conservatives like to claim that Clinton was responsible for it without realizing that he moved toward that direction to attract dumbass voters who ate up that “tough on crime” trash. Still a fukked up thing but he’s nowhere as responsible as the right was/is.

100%. right now with the spotlight on race relations globally it's an important watch. i told a couple of my white homies to watch and they both came back and said it gave them a whole new insight into the black struggle and why things are the way they are. eye-opener
