Saw the trailer for this while watching American Fiction (good movie), seems like the movie will be about The Warmth of Other Suns (great book) using an anthropologic style.

:patrice:Not sure about Duvernay’s directional choice to use Isabella Wilkerson’s (the author) real life relationships as a way to weave the stories and information within the book. Seems like it’ll be a bit forced. And considering what the Warmth of Other Suns addresses, the beginning of the trailer centered around Wilkerson and a white love interest threw me off.

Either way, hopefully she does the book and what the book covers justice. She did a great job with 13th, but I suppose that wouldn’t carry over into a theater setting. But she also did a great job with When They See Us.

Never saw A Wrinkle In Time, but trailer looked ass and :mjpls:

Heard her talking about this on The Breakfast Club. Still tryna figure out how it track wit Trayvon Martin & shyt. She said she paid for it outta her own pocket tho & won't see any profit and just want people to see it off the principle or something.
