Native Austin night here. Move to the south side breh, better affordability and you get more for your money. Also you don't want to live close to where you'll be working :huhldup:assuming you'll be working in the data center Home Depot has here
you're a native austinite but spelled it as "austin night"?:patrice:

Hyde Park is the best to live in central Austin imo, White folks taken over the east side, so thats a bust anyway ....many houses and privately owned apt complexes with smaller management over in the Hyde Park area, so you can find cheaper rent if you look. There are literally hundreds of these 10 to 15 unit apts over here in this area. I pay 800 for a 1 br and i'm still close to everything, could ride a bike downtown in 5 mins, i can go to the east side easily from dean keaton and 2 mins away from Mount Bonnell...:wow: life is good over here. I have not had a job in 3 years, i put my apt on air bnb a few times a month to pay my rent and use the money from my business to travel n shyt.
Hyde Park was great. Felt like living in a big ass tree house, lots of nature and very convenient. The neighborhood definitely has its own personality.

It's like an expensive walmart. Just black uniforms instead. Same demoralized looking employees... At least over here in steiner. I haven't been to any other randals.
Breh, you better get up on those Just For U coupons. Be walking up out that joint like :blessed:
But I live 2 minutes from Randalls one way and HEB the other way. :yeshrug:

Good look out! I was almost reconsidering about the Austin move because the cost of living kind of scaring me...

But now not only did Home Depot IT send me an offer letter, eBay also hit me up today with a contingent offer letter  so I'm still driving out there next week.
Property taxes are a motha. :francis:
Being from Alabama, I'm used to homes with yards, but out here in Cedar Park, that ain't happening forreal. With all of the new construction going on out here, it is going nowhere but up. Thankfully, I put myself in position at work to get a new position within the next year that's Grade 10 plus commission.

I will be staying at the Hyatt downtown... looking for cool chill bars and live music..also some cultural spots....and bar b q :troll:

Someone already mentioned Franklins. Gonna be a line though so get there early. Franklins is considered one of the top bbq spots in the country. They said if dude left and set up someplace like NYC he'd make a mint. Not like he's doing bad now though.

If you really looking for good bbq go google the Texas Monthly Best BBQ edition, cause a few of the best spots in the state are either in Austin or right there in one of the small towns there in the vicinity

I got an offer from a tech company called Trusource located in South Austin. Very close to the airport. I'm debating about taking them over Home Depot simply because the pay is more, health insurance is attractive & they are very much on the networking side of IT which is what I've been in school studying for:patrice: anyways, Austin is too expensive for me so I was thinking of looking at places outside Austin. Something less than an hour away from both Trusource and Home Depot.

I settled on San Marcos. It's 35 mins from Trusource and 45 from Home Depot. Any insight about San Marcos?

I want to know where the cougars are at.

After doing my googles, I saw some people on other sites mention Steiner Ranch steakhouse. Ive never been there but I LITERALLY am looking at it right now from my room. Its the only place I can see from my room and balcony besides trees...so if cougars really are there I can be there in a heartbeat.

Man Fires A Shot In The Air During An Argument On 6th Street & Ends Up Being Fatally Shot By Police Officers

Shooting at 1:37. A Texas man who fired a shot in the air while a heated confrontation was going on nearby was fatally shot by police officers. Police were able to find video of the man who was firing shots into the air. Shortly after they found the accused shooter, a chase started. As police were running after him, they said they saw he had a pistol. The man then turned and allegedly fired shots at two officers, who fired back and hit the man. The man was taken to the hospital where he later died. Submitted By screwedtube1. Posted By Persist

Just recently heard about that shooting. 6th has been getting more wild each year.

I tend to hang on West 6th, Rainey, and The Domain now.

There's lots of gorgeous women here. Why limit to cougars?
