Y'all really actin' like the Aunt Viv replacement was that big of a blow to the show. It wasn't. Yes, the first Aunt Viv was clearly better but let's not act like the show was ruined because of the replacement. Get the ENTIRE fukk outta here with that nonsense.

After careful research I acutally side with The 1st Aunt Viv. Will had a big head and was very arrogant. He thought the show would do just fine without her and he was wrong. The last 3 seasons of Fresh Prince were the worst of the series. Cause the new Aunt Viv just wasn't the same. Aunt Viv was a strong black women. A lot of black people could relate to that character cause that's how our mothers were or grandmothers were. The new Aunt Viv had no personality, was way too nice and wasn't funny at all. Will jump the gun and ruined the show.
They are all bitter against her cause they know the show fell off without her. The key to that show success was Will, Carlton, Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv. As well as Jeffery. The Two girls were cool but they didn't drive the show. By replacing Aunt Viv, Will messed up the chemistry of the show. I got love for Will but how he handled the Aunt Viv thing as well as him dissing hard core Hip Hop are the two issues I had with him. Also in the 1st Aunt Viv defense, when they fired her she didn't say sh!t about will for years. But Will was all on the radio throwing her name in the dirt. Carlton was wrong for calling her out her name.
It's clear they all have guilty conscious cause a majority of original Fresh Prince fans know she was the Best Aunt Viv and the new one again had no energy at all. Also Will was lying when he and the company put out the spin that she wanted it to be about her. The show is called "The Fresh Prince" not "Aunt Viv of Bel Air", she knew her role but she wasn't going to make Aunt Viv a weak character like they did with the 2nd mom. I commend her for not shucking and jiving, that's why the 1st Aunt Viv didn't play and the fans loved her for that:
The show did do just fine without her.
Original Aunt Viv >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> New Aunt Viv.
But that character wasn't important enough to make or break the show.

The ratings dipped once Aunt Viv was replaced I mean I see a connection regardless if people want to admit it or not. She was important to the chemistry of the cast. It's clear the new Aunt Viv just didn't live up. Of course fans of the show continued on but it really wasn't the same in the last 3 seasons. Nobody saying it's not a Classic show but Will and many others want to try and act like the 1st aunt Viv wasn't important that's why they replaced her so easily. But they were wrong, the show wasn't the same without her.
