I know you'd disagree but I hope they do the right thing and give the team back to San Diego. It would really close the chapter on the scumling reign since he moved the team without league consent.
Nobody is leaving Staples, DTLA, and LA Live breh.. that area is on fire right now with no signs of slowing down. Plus SD is broke and they have no arena.

Everyone that's celebrating this is being extremely short-sighted. Adam Silver and the NBA's PR team just salvaged one of the biggest potential meltdowns you'd have likely ever seen in your life. Name another time when athletes will ever be in a position to boycott with public opinion behind them? They had a chance to restructure the entire league and cause some serious debates over race and class in this country, and the Silver/the NBA understood this. It wasn't just about Sterling. The NBA had to distance themselves and keep good standing with the public (hence the "investigation" into what we all knew to be true) and this decision to ban Sterling only make the league out to be the hero... This is only a moral victory for an unsuspecting public. Sterling still owns the team and for $2.5 million dollars, he was just given the opportunity to set the price to his liking which the league will be obliged to pay to maintain their status as the "hero" in this story... None of this would have been possible had the players boycotted and started making their own demands.

So i'm arguing with this cac on FB about this issue and this fakkit has the nerve to put a picture of Huey Newton and The KKK saying shyt about racism is racism on both sides. So i responded saying this

So when did the black panthers ever burn items in front of white peoples yard? When did they ever publicly hang a white person in front of dozens of other black people who gleefully cheered? Please let me know, i'm waiting..........

then this cac says

Times are changing even though racism is still alive and doing well. Has the KKK ever hanged anyone in your yard or anyone you know? Racism is racism.

I sonned him saying
You didn't answer my question now did you Aaron? What a cop out. Classic deflection technique.

fukkin cacs kill me :pacspit:

One opinion I'm gonna change; though, I like what the NBA has done, I understand the cynism of some ppl. And it's healthy. The NBA's hand was really forced and I have to understand the other side's feelings.

I'm gonna go ahead and say; though I agree with you, I don't see a wrong or right, for the players, at this point, still.
I think its fair to say at this point that the players and the NBAPA are satisfied with Silver's decisions. \

Sitting out the games would make no sense at this point.

I think a sit out by the Clippers would of had more historical impact then forcing Sterling to sell. Can you imagine the league having to basically DQ a team for not showing up in a hotly contested playoff series? That shyt would be remembered 10 years from now while next year people will forget this dude ever owned the Clippers.
Which would have really forced his hand and sell the team

That's the whole thing that a lot of whites don't get: blacks who are intensely interested in this Sterling shyt don't really give half a fukk about what this scumbag is saying in private to his extramarital whore. We want to force conversations about the larger implications, the reactions, and the spirit and philosophy that demeans us and relegates us to the scrap heap in this society. And these dumb fukks still don't get that white supremacy and racism are diseases that kill them too. We're living in times where scientists are wearily shouting "we're past the point of no return," resources are becoming more scarce, the poverty gap is widening, and a specific collective ransacked the American economy... Yet these dense, simple fukks are still yelling at their TV about Jay-Z's medallion and violence in Chicago.

So far I'm seeing the same pathetic out cries from white people.

1. What happen to freedom of speech?

2. If the owner owner was black...

3. Jay Z wore a 5% medallion
.
4. Oprah said all white people over the age of 60 should be dead.

LOOK AT THEM YALL, THEY SHOOK

:mjlol: @ this pathetic display of plea copping

Yeah unfortunately that's the case, I just felt that'd be poetic justice and the NBA would have almost the whole west coast on lock. It'd be great if the Raiders at least got a stadium around there I don't think the room is there tho.

This won't change anything. Prople feel how they feel and ingorance will continue to prevail because its human nature to band together and shun what's different. Race is one of the many differences humans pick to hate.

We out here celebrating. :banderas:

But on a serious note I dont speak for the other mexicans on this site but this situation really reinforces what these Coli militants have been saying for a while now. You cant fully trust white ppl. Sure they'll say hi to you and be all buddy buddy at work but like my mom always tell me, why cater to someone who'll only see you as a dirty fukking illegal

None of this would have been possible had the players boycotted and started making their own demands.

People don't understand this. nikkas were so concerned about a championship that they had no real chance at getting but that even if they did in the end meant very little to a larger part of their life. Their race, their integrity, their pride as men.

Its deeper than most Black people understand unfortunately, and the failure to boycott from the beginning put all things right back into place to stay the exact same as it was before, but with the racism even more cautious and covert. Put it like this: there's a reason why on all the networks especially espn they've been going out of their way to praise one man even more than Silver: Doc Rivers. Because Doc Rivers is exactly the type of negro who took exactly the type of actions that they love and can deal with with all their money and power. A complacent motherfukker.

This man had the ability to easily convince his entire team to not play, thereby force the hand of the league and essentially have Black players and staff control the entire narrative of this issue. And what did he do but go in there and tell his players to carry on business as usual, and continue to line the pockets of the man who just called them slaves. He even expressed his discontent at the weak ass silent protest the players did because it 'distracted from the game'. But I can't say I'm surprised. Look at his wife. Ultimately, that complacence is exactly what whites in power need to empower them even more.
