The players wanted to play...and the moron you quoted said one game protest would have hurt MORE than a force of a sale?

Do you realize how stupid that quote really is?

didnt realize he said that, but i believe a one game protest would have led to the force of a sale

youre ignoring the fact that they're forcing the sale to stop protests right

or did you think these guys were doing it because they love black people and think racism is wrong and hurtful? :mjlol:

It's annoying when ppl keep saying "Why did it take this for the outrage to come out". I don't know 3/4 of the NBA owners and so do not know their legal histories either. I'm glad this was brought to my attention because now I was able to find out what kind of disgusting things this man did. All these writers sound like hipster music fans that wanna rub in your face that they knew a band first

So privacy means nothing to you? Other than criminal activity; no person should be punished for what they say in a private setting. How would you like to be secretly recorded in your home, then fired for what you say? Again, I'm glad he's gone but this shyt is absurd when you think about it. :what:
Your side piece should be used for fukking and getting head from, not a shoulder to cry racist and bigoted views to. That's what your wife is for. Dont tell a chick with a drop of color in her that you hate people of color.

thats not what theyre saying

they're saying that these owners are full of sh*t for acting like they care about racism and the only reason they've responded to this is because the public outrage could hurt their pockets

how could anyone disagree with that?

Exactly. I said Tuesday was gonna be the bigger moment than Game 4 because it was a chance the whole playoffs would shut down if Silver didn't handle business. At the end of the day it all goes back to the money. The fools gon show themselves when they eat this up way too much.

i didn't realize the team had already been sold

:childplease:

the only reason sterling got a lifetime ban is because the players have been very vocal about the situation and silver knows they would boycott

that shows you how powerful a statement a boycott would have made

them boycotting would have obviously led to the same end, but it would have looked better for blacks because our players would have grabbed their nuts and made this happen themselves instead of waiting for the commissioner to save the day

yep

Folks claim to stop waiting for the white man to do something, be proactive, don't be afraid to stand for something cause you will fall for anything....suddenly these words don't apply now in this case where black folks were the target:rudy:

Exactly. This will be conveniently forgotten and will go back to our regularly scheduled post racial dream selling.

This is killing me also.. The thing is, WE HEARD THE TAPES! It doesn't matter under what circumstances we heard them. We all heard that sh*t, we can't go back in time. Once we heard them everything changed. Its like a married guy getting caught in bed with another woman and he tells his wife, "but honey you weren't supposed to see that". And she's like, "But I did see it, and now sh*t is going to hit the fan".

Its funny they refuse to ask why is dude getting recorded by his groupie tranny in the first place. They're skipping that entire part. Check your b*tch and get your house in order

I said this earlier in the thread I think.....but, there was a guy who got his house broken into. And the thieves called the cops because they found child porn after going inside the man's crib :skip:

Police arrest man for child pornography after tipoff from burglars - CNN.com

Using people's logic in here you could be like "this guy shouldn't be arrested because well.....that stuff would have never been found if thieves hadn't robbed his house." :tyler: Who would make this argument? Like for real? Stupid ass smart dumb muthafukkas.

Shaq should be quiet after he roasted that guy with the face condition. Im shocked they ain't calling for his head.
they're dumb because they aren't really fighting for free speech in the first place, they're fighting because they don't want any consequence for being who they are, which is racists.
The same way we can condemn racism they can cosign it. Free speech is important even when the people saying stuff are saying stuff you don't wanna hear.

Sterling's issue is he's the owner of a sports franchise. It's one thing for him to feel that way its another to have those opinions out in a public space.

He did it fast enough IMO. You guys are just bytching about a whole lot of nothing at this point.

a whole bunch of nothing?..come on man...if the players sit out game 4, it wouldnt have taken 72 hours to come to this conclusion...cause their money was being affected...not only that, that wouldve been a huge statement for black men...showing that being black men are worth more than playing a game, getting a check, etc....

also, i'm just not gonna sit back and be happy this dude got forced into early retirement/vacation...this man has real power/pull, and he just shed light on how him and the people he run with really think...this is time for us to apply as much pressure as we can to expose more and shed more light on it...seriously, this man affects the lives of every day people in a negative manner cause he has the money, connections, etc. to do it...now that he fukked up and put it out there, we supposed to stop at him cause he got banned from the league for life and has to pay a fine that doesnt mean shyt to him? fukk that....

not only that, silver was under stern, and this man has been doing this shyt for years, and they did nothing...we suppose to ignore that just cause of this?..fukk that...why wasnt anything done to sterling before?...he, stern, and the other owners need to answer that question...

It doesn't matter if Sterling owns the team or not. People don't put their financial stakes on NBA teams, it's something they do once they're already rich so they can play Fantasy Basketball/Baseball/Football. They love meeting with the teams, sitting courtside, making the final decisions, and building a team that they want.

He can't do any of that anymore. That's the best punishment the NBA can give in my opinion.
