Lebron / Chris Paul and 10 other prominent NBA players, all get together and have a conference video call (something that looks like a press conference, but they can do it from different states)...


ANd they all come out and say if Silver is not removed from the Clippers within 4 weeks, they will all sit out? Or maybe even after the Finals is done and they'll sit out NEXT season?


Why not be VOCAL, and voice your displeasure, rather than just up and not playing games tomorrow, like a bytch?

I did not like his tone and what he had to say but if I was a player on the Clippers I would grant him his due process of a few days to let him handle his first major challenge as commish. If its not resolved within that few days or the result is anything less than indefinite suspension and plans to take the team away from Sterling, then I would absolutely organize a boycott/strike to force their hand.

The reporter asked would there be a resolution by Tuesday, the Clippers next home game...And he responded, "YES!" there would be action by then.

What power are they giving up when the money is being left out of the pockets of everyone all around. That would be Silver's worst nightmare. Can you imagine how pissed advertisers and ABC would be if they had no game to show? You hit people in the pockets to hurt them and this would be that move.

continue playing the games= owner gets slight/moderate punishment, people talk about this until the next big news story pops up and this is all forgotten, Sterling won't show up at any more playoff games, outta sight outta mind etc.

sit out the games= likely worldwide news coverage (think 1968 black power salute at the Olympics), immediate ramifications for the NBA and sports in general
