They like that they get paid crazy amounts of money to play a child's game and don't want anything to rock the boat. It's not like the black celebs of old who didn't give a fukk about a dollar, who knew what it was like to have nothing, who knew what it was like to see your own folks being denied basic human rights because of their skin color.

These happy to be paid ass nikkas aren't going to do shyt. Reason why these crackas feel comfortable to say these things and treat them like the way they do. It would be awesome and inspiring to see them protest and stand up for something but hey this is just basketball which you know has no influence on kids whatsoever.

Exactly. And hypothetically if the recording WAS altered in some way or wasn't him, the NBA opens themselves up to be sued. Silver's a lawyer, & understands all this that why he's gotta move carefully but he still has to send a strong message. Today wasn't the day for bold statements or proclamations from Silver, as much as many of us would've liked it to be

LEGALLY, it absolutely is. Unless Sterling admits to it, it will take a voice expert to confirm it. And to move forward with fines, suspensions, etc....100% certainty is necessary.

his camp hasn't even denied it was him though. if the tape was a fake they woulda came out the gate with that. what they're doing now is a transparent effort at damage control so sterling can put his story together. they will work to cast doubt on the tape or how it was obtained and then drag the girl through a ditch. but they probably never straight out deny he said it. if they had the same evidence against a ball player or coach it would be a wrap. players have been disciplined for something as simple as a tweet. silver didn't even suspend him pending further investigation, which would have been appropriate. instead they let sterling "voluntarily" decide to skip the next home game.
