He should get the nod because he's having a historic season in addition to being one of the catalysts for the best team in basketball

The reason I say Korver is benefiting from having better teammates and a better coach is put it like this, if Korver had the exact same stats he has now but the Hawks were 29-23 like the Bucks are would he even be getting any serious consideration for the ASG? Odds are not at all.

Knight is the best player on the Bucks right now and that team has been ravaged by injuries in addition to whatever is going on with Sanders, he's one of the best defending PGs in the league and has been the Bucks most consistent player through all their injuries and problems. Yeah Korver's shooting percentages are eye opening, but he wouldn't be able to keep that Bucks team afloat like Knight has (18/5/4/2).
true

but Brandon Knight does not impact the Hawks as much as Korver's shooting does.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Korver is posting one of the best shooting seasons of all time. He's making Reggie Miller look like an average shooter.

See...this is when you go too far, Reggie is one of the more overrated players ever, but Korver could never be the featured option on a team and put up the numbers Reggie did. Those same shooting percentages would plummet if he had to be defended like Reggie was, average shooter? :camby:

What does it matter? Korver isn't a passer but he's still one of the best playmakers in the NBA due to his ability to suck defenses in and completely destroy a rotation.

Korver can set a screen and cause more havoc for a defense than pretty much any non-superstar player in the NBA.

Its just hard to compare him to players of Curry and Wade's caliber because he is a direct benefactor of players like Curry and Wade. He is a very good 1 dimensional threat that benefits from more dynamic, multiple threat players.

Were quoting 50/50/90 not 50/40/90 as you posted, b/c it's a historic pace that has only happened once in NBA history. And how is it based on less attempts? And your opinion on what is & isn't All Star numbers is subjective. This yr the coaches chose to look at his body of work & what he's doing for the best team in the league

You trying to belittle his accomplishments makes you look small. He's having a HISTORIC season, he deserves the All Star selection

I dont think its that historic and im ok if brehs think hes an all star given he plays on the best team record wise in the league.I understand how that works, i dont he is one and i dont think 50/50/90 means he is one when you dont account for those numbers...Ill give him credit for being the best 3 pt shooter in the league but thats all he is...
To quote his FT shooting is laughable,he doesnt shoot enough for it to be relevant as a stat...you cant use 50/50/90 and exclude 12/4/3 and a 14-15 PER...

So you mean he's not having opposing coaches game plan on him as the number 1 option like Miller and he doesn't have a target on his back from opposing players geared up to stop him like a Curry:ohhh:

Korvers nice but if he was asked to carry a team those glossy numbers would plummet. But out of respect for them having the best record to this point I won't lament on it.

So Knight>Teague?

Thats what you are saying.

No, that's not what I'm saying. Im saying that if you put Knight on the Hawks, he would be running the offense like Teague. He would be responsible for Korver's success. If anything, since he is not better than Teague, Korver's efficiency would go down.

I agree

But I dont think Korver shouldnt be an All Star. Korver's impact on the Hawks offense is damn near understated by many in this thread. And the season Korver is having is historic.

I don't think he should be an all-star over Knight, one is the main option on his team and the other isn't, Giannis isn't there yet and Knight has to carry the load on offense for a team that is just getting crushed by injuries.

His shooting percentages are crazy, but his overall numbers aren't better than Knights.
