But if you replace Korver with Knight, Korver would not be there.

I get what you saying, but Korver is still having a major impact on that offense by being on the court.

Knight will prolly go with Melo's injury issue.

Melo ain't pulling out. He's determined to play in the ASG since it's in NY, even if that means he has to play hurt. Knicks wanted to shut him down for the year weeks ago but he wants to wait until after he gets to play in the ASG.

Of course the ATL
well if we're gonna talk about historic seasons, why isn't deandre jordan in the game when he leads the league in rebounding and FG% (73%) ???

He's having a good season, is it historic? IDK, but I'm talking about what the coaches voted for in the East

I don't get the obsession with arbitrary numbers like 50/40/90 or 50/50/90. So like if Korver was shooting 49/49/89 from the field then his season wouldn't be as impressive?

Just a pet peeve of mine.

Its crazy that Korver's numbers and percentages don't even tell the story. If you watch the games you will see how much attention he is getting from teams. Some teams are shifting their entire defenses as he's running around trying to get open. The rest of his teammates are getting wide open lanes because defenders are afraid to help off of him. It's crazy...

I don't think people realize how crazy Korver is playing so lemme help you out.

If Kyle Korver were to miss 88 consecutive threes, he'd still have a higher 3PT% than Steph Curry.

If he missed his next 215 straight threes, he'd still be shooting better than Dwyane Wade.

If Korver missed his next next 44 straight threes, he'd still be in 1st place in 3PT% in the NBA.

If he missed his next 151 straight threes, he'd still be ranked higher than average than the current 3PT%.

Korver shooting 3s is literally a more efficient shot than most people shooting layups.

His True Shooting is at 74.32%, which would smash the all-time single-season record of 70.81%. What makes this absolutely insane is that his average field goal attempt is from 22 feet. Tyson Chandler holds the current record and his average shot was from 2.3 feet.
Steph having his worst 3pt season ever.

The reason I say Korver is benefiting from having better teammates and a better coach is put it like this, if Korver had the exact same stats he has now but the Hawks were 29-23 like the Bucks are would he even be getting any serious consideration for the ASG? Odds are not at all.

Breh you can bring up hypotheticals all you want. The dynamics completely change when you do that so I can't even really speak on what you're saying. Korver is getting rewarded for having a historic season and the coaches, who are the ones who voted for him, believe he's deserving. I'll go with their opinion on this one and what they see night in, night out

I dont think its that historic and im ok if brehs think hes an all star given he plays on the best team record wise in the league.I understand how that works, i dont he is one and i dont think 50/50/90 means he is one when you dont account for those numbers...Ill give him credit for being the best 3 pt shooter in the league but thats all he is...
To quote his FT shooting is laughable,he doesnt shoot enough for it to be relevant as a stat...you cant use 50/50/90 and exclude 12/4/3 and a 14-15 PER...

I'm not excluding anything...I said coaches considered his entire body of work, both good & bad. And it's ok if you don't think it's historic, the history of the game & facts say otherwise :yeshrug:

man I know the hawks are the feel good NBA story, but even the 96 bulls didn't have 4 all stars and they had less than 5 losses at the all star break. fukk outta here.

12ppg player is not an all star.

east gonna get blown out the water in the all star game btw.
People insist the East will get blown out every year for the last decade plus and occasionally they do but really any tram with LeBron James has a good chance to win any single game.

White people win again. You let cacs like John hollinger crunch numbers and try tell you which players are good which players are bad. PER didn't work, now they invent WARP and ppl are brainwashed into thinking Kyke Korver is an all star.

Korver has to be bar none the worst non big man, non legacy all star selection ever. It's like if Brad Lohaus made the all star game back in the day. Miss me on this shyt.

Korver's getting rewarded mainly because of the strength of his team. If the Hawks weren't the #1 seed in the East he wouldn't be getting any all-star consideration.

Coaches also didn't think DeMarcus Cousins was worthy of an all-star spot this year or Anthony Davis last year so I'm not gonna take their opinions as the gospel
