Lot of privledged brehs in Atlanta tho, and they all don’t live in the nice Black areas. But at the same time it ain’t really no all white areas of Atlanta either. Buckhead is considered a white area here and that shyt still 30% Black. Not really a stretch to see a young breh doing some shyt like soccer or lacrosse here.

To be honest it was forced on them, players started leaving to play in Europe younger and younger , For years the whole of the Brazilian team consists of players that play for European teams..... and the style of play is totally different .... Brazil actually play most of their friendly games in London not in Brazil, shyts crazy

but at the end of the day money dictates everything, all these European clubs going to Brazil offering crazy money to 15 year olds to sign up

Indoor soccer is fun, if you have it in your city. I subbed as a goalie on a friend's team. I didn't know exactly what I was doing as I only had ice hockey goaltending experience. Ball can be kicked off the boards so you can bank your passes to yourself or someone else. Less guys on the pitch on an ice rink sized pitch, so everyone gets to touch the ball often, so it's almost like playing mid-fielder for everyone.

where i grew up we all played soccer except for AAs.
i remember when nobody played FIFA . i was wearing soccer jersey casually 10-15 years ago and would always get dapped up by Latin folks
now everybody and they momma walking around in soccer gear lmao

one of the great things about soccer is how it unites and showcases cultures of the world like no other sport. and the emphasis of skill over athleticism

you can play soccer with anything.

thats one of the biggest problem of soccer in this country and part of the reason why the USMNT doesn't do well. too many of the guys (especially from the last qualifying campaign and that failed spectacularly) are soft and/or privileged. no drive, no skill, grew up playing ODP with shytty English coaches that couldn't cut it in the fourth tier league in the UK

i always thought there were so many talented immigrant and second gen brehs that never got the chance to play at a high level because of the cost and failings of the US scouting system

my brother plays at a high level (academy/US youth nat'l team) and almost all his teammates are rich privileged white kids that are trying to get scholarships for school.
