I will say, she did try to take action, step in and stop something bad from happening.

Also looks like they were telling the truth:

I will say, that's what happens when you're nearly 40 years old trying to get in line for a food truck at 3AM though.

That said that dude is risking a whole lot over some tacos.

Why all these 40,45,50 year old black folks who have solid jobs/careers mentally out here acting like 18,20,22 year olds

Even this bytch social media she trying to be like these young ig/only fan bytches

These old hoes love attention
They missed out on thotting because they were in school..delayed 20s

Men do it too, we call it a midlife crisis but female college enrollment has been outpacing male for almost a decade so we're going to see more of this

Crazy, after watching the video I wonder if she may be able to sue the city for any damage to her reputation.

It does like she was in the right, has video proof, the profession, eyewitness testimony to back her up, etc.

At the end of the day, she got a good look at the justice system and the people that got put in front of her though. There were probably some people who were there because of bad policing themselves.

That guy's job might be cooked at the least. It honestly does sound like they did a bad job of the situation.

You definitely can hear it in the original video a lot of people on the body cam video were saying she was trying to deescalate the situation but the cop wasn't trying to hear it.

I’m gonna put some blame on the parent(s). I’ve seen this throughout college and the corporate world. Black women are rarely prepared for the dating life, especially if they don’t come from a stable home or an overly dogmatic Christian household.

Their parents force their daughters to focus on studies, get a career and a good man will magically appear at their doorstep. Meanwhile, other cultures are taught to seek out their future husbands in college, if not there, at least by their early 20s.

What happens is stunted emotional growth, and by the time they’re in their 30s, if they haven’t locked down a man, they go through their delayed hot girl summer which could last up into their 30s.

If they were taught to date healthily during their college years and young adulthood, this would be less prevalent. But if there’s no (good) father to give their daughter guidance, they end up in the real world unprepared and hiding behind your degrees doesn’t work in situations like we’ve seen in the bodycam video.

They try to be wild like them white boys and broads but you can't move like that when you're Black.

Black people with authority get scrutinized more than anyone. People are literally waiting and watching until you fukk up. She thought because she was in ATL, that she could get away with more fukkery. If this sista was a judge in Salt Lake City, ain't no way she'd be out there like this.

:mjlol:This broad’s rep is already mud in ATL. She’s trash, bruh. The articles I’ve found about her past are mostly FOX news articles and I won’t promote traffic there, so I’ll just post a link to the next worst thing…a thread on LSA with good summaries:

UPDATE - Metro Atlanta judge arrested at Buckhead nightclub, faces felony charge

Some highlights tho:
The one that troubled the panel the most involved Peterson's decision to jail a woman for simply trying to amend her marriage certificate to include the real name of her recently discovered father.

She once hit a panic button when a deputy was late escorting her to court, causing needless panic among security.

Peterson also faces opposition in next month's primary election. And earlier this year, her HOA began garnishing her judicial wages for the $43,446.76 judgment against her.

Another hearing officer Richard Hyde suggested some of the criticism against Peterson could involve the fact that — unlike her predecessor — she chose to keep all birth and death certificate fees in addition to her salary.

According to Douglas County records, in 2022 Peterson kept $140,485 in fees, pushing her annual compensation to $265,487. In 2021, she kept $139,447 in fees, making her total income $265,862.

By comparison, in 2022 the chief justice for the Georgia Supreme Court made $216,593."

^^I dont think this is Illegal, but it’s not a good look.

Yup.

I do give her the benefit of the doubt though: if you're a public official in the justice system you're supposed to take action, protect and serve, etc.

No one can say she was standing around doing nothing at least and I'd want that from people in the law system when in plain clothes.

She did try to do what's right and actions speak louder than words in this instance, from my point of view at least.
