The biggest flaw in athiesm is pride...You will never meet a humble athiest...

Hubris and cynicism is what drives most of them...


But I don't think they are inherently evil or amoral...

the fact one believes a deity create them into his image & gives them reigns over every living / non living thing on this planet is the polar opposition of your word 'humble'

i never heard of an arragant non beliver / agnostic ... the fact we support science shows humility

Perhaps the lessons resonate with the human experience?

Things like, purity of heart, honor your father and mother, thou shalt not lie, sacrifice, 'what is good?', 'what is evil?', etc...

Atheism is the denial that God exists, but people can believe in God without deism. God can simply be defined as source energy-- energy that creates. Or an organizing structure that is responsible for phenomenon and cause/effect. Some people would argue that God is in us because we're fractals of God in the first place.

My problem with atheism is that it is impossible to be perfectly researched on all of the different interpretations of God as a concept. In a way atheism sounds racist because it's like people are saying that the only ways to interpret God is the deist way-- the way Euro-affiliated Judea Christian religions do. It effectively gives European cultures (or those with proximity to them) a monopoly over the entire concept. I think it's one thing when people say they don't subscribe to Judea Christian interpretations of God, but acknowledge they don't know if God exists. There's no way for us to know if there are other interpretations out there we'd agree with.

It doesn't bother me if someone believes in God or not , but it's trips me out how far people are willing to do to disprove him

You can't disprove something that doesn't exist.

They're not trying to disprove god, they're dismissing the current proofs of god and waiting for something credible.
