No lie, the ancient Romans were atheists. Yes, they had statues of Roman gods but that was about it. They lived life like there was no repercussions to sin or immoral behavior. They had husbands with side pieces who were male or tranny.
Now, look at American society. Early US history, more devout Christians and less gays and tranny hoes. Modern US history, less devout Christians, more gays and tranny hoes. That's the slope we are going down.
People are going to be gay no matter where you look in history. I was simply implying that an atheist society would be less likely to shame people for their sexuality.
And as far as that being a slope that the United States may be 'heading down', I wholeheartedly disagree. I don't think we can accurately judge the greatness of a society by how many guys/gals were openly queer. Sure, there were proportionately more Christians when this country started. There were also slaves, war on our soil, children drinking alcohol, etc. And let's not forget about that genocide of indigenous people. The US was more like Rome in terms of depravity at its inception than now, breh.
But Jesus forgave them.
