Change is inevitable...
Great thread.
This big teeth, toupee wearing, hypocritical idiot is not helping matters.

"nikkas with dreads calling themselves gods, with white girls named Katelin"--one of the greatest lines ever.
I'm out and open with my atheism in life and on FB so mufukkaz know it is black atheists out there and they dont gotta keep fakin it for these other folk. And on the real a lot of niccaz are atheist or agnostic just scared to "come out" but they agree with me when not around that group think shyt.
I cant say that gettin the ass has been a problem, but relationships has been because I cant be with one of these seriously religious chicks. I'll fukk around and takeover that broad like I do Mowgli...
Found out both my sisters are atheist despite my ol G thinkin shes the female jesus... also think my old man is agnostic at least despite him leading prayers at holiday dinners... in theological discussions he makes the same points I do in regards to comparing religions or claiming one is better than the other... he also doesnt attribute god with doin shyt.
All this despite bein dragged to church and other church functions for two decades
Yeah imagine being a young black atheist in the 60's. Not a Huey Newton or Stokely Carmichael, but just a regular dude.
at that guy. thats no friend. I got friends that are muslims, hell I lived with a muslim, me of all people. If you can't just acknowledge that your friend has beliefs and KIM you're a shyt friend. fukk him.
I'm the daughter of a minister and I told my parents that I don't believe in the bible a few weeks ago.
While they both explained they knew I felt this way, my Daddy has been scheming ways to change my mind. I don't mind going to church (the best gossip happens there), prayer don't bother me (I'm trying to teach myself how to meditate, so I just ignore whoever is talking), nor do I mind having religious friends (it's a good way to learn and understand the way they think). I may not agree with it, but it doesnt affect me
It's soooo hard (offline) to find a man that shares my beliefs, especially a black man.
I tried that that one time, along with a bunch of other shyt. Thought I was on to something, until I ended up in county jail facing some cac judge with a gavel that She don't mind using. Needless to say, that prayer got me out of a situation that other stuff couldn't think of doing. Ive learned one thing, everyone has beliefs, but when it's time for you to face a deathly illness, or something else worse, better make sure what you believe is strong enough to bring you backI'm the daughter of a minister and I told my parents that I don't believe in the bible a few weeks ago.

It's harder for a black man...there are more brothas out here not feeling the whole religion thing than sistas.
I've personally never explicitly stated to my parents/grandparents/whoever that I don't care for religion, but they know I don't go to church and eventually stopped asking me to (I always made up an excuse not to go ). Although my mother stills emails me bible verses and shyt sometimes. It's whatever.
I did have an issue with a chick I dated in college...she didn't bring it up at first, but after we'd been dating (and fukking) for months she randomly decided to be "born again" and started pressuring me to go to church, among other things.
