I'm out and open with my atheism in life and on FB so mufukkaz know it is black atheists out there and they dont gotta keep fakin it for these other folk. And on the real a lot of niccaz are atheist or agnostic just scared to "come out" but they agree with me when not around that group think shyt.

I cant say that gettin the ass has been a problem, but relationships has been because I cant be with one of these seriously religious chicks. I'll fukk around and takeover that broad like I do Mowgli...

Found out both my sisters are atheist despite my ol G thinkin shes the female jesus... also think my old man is agnostic at least despite him leading prayers at holiday dinners... in theological discussions he makes the same points I do in regards to comparing religions or claiming one is better than the other... he also doesnt attribute god with doin shyt. :manny:

All this despite bein dragged to church and other church functions for two decades

"nikkas with dreads calling themselves gods, with white girls named Katelin"--one of the greatest lines ever.

those lines always made me laugh.. cuz them dudes with those "outside the black people community line of thought" end up wit white broads due to not being acpted AND not finding a black jawn to kick it wit, gotta get the buns,or move to NY

:pacspit: at that guy. thats no friend. I got friends that are muslims, hell I lived with a muslim, me of all people. If you can't just acknowledge that your friend has beliefs and KIM you're a shyt friend. fukk him.

its not that easy. its fukked up that he said it but until he truly means it he's still my nikka :salute: dude's life turned around after this all went down. he finished school, landed a job making pretty decent money, got married 9and i was the best man FOR this very reason), 2 bedroom house with a kid on the way... all of this within 2 yrs of him being on the streets. and of course he got super religious, feeling like god placed me there and everything... he's actually fell back a bit now but his WIFE grew up and will forever remain on some backwoods :ohlawd: shyt. i think she's the one with the bigger issue. i just leave it alone now :manny: i learned quick its better to discuss stuff like this online or in actual black atheist groups.

I'm the daughter of a minister and I told my parents that I don't believe in the bible a few weeks ago.
While they both explained they knew I felt this way, my Daddy has been scheming ways to change my mind. I don't mind going to church (the best gossip happens there), prayer don't bother me (I'm trying to teach myself how to meditate, so I just ignore whoever is talking), nor do I mind having religious friends (it's a good way to learn and understand the way they think). I may not agree with it, but it doesnt affect me :yeshrug:

It's soooo hard (offline) to find a man that shares my beliefs, especially a black man.

It's harder for a black man...there are more brothas out here not feeling the whole religion thing than sistas. :manny:

I've personally never explicitly stated to my parents/grandparents/whoever that I don't care for religion, but they know I don't go to church and eventually stopped asking me to (I always made up an excuse not to go  ). Although my mother stills emails me bible verses and shyt sometimes. It's whatever.

I did have an issue with a chick I dated in college...she didn't bring it up at first, but after we'd been dating (and fukking) for months she randomly decided to be "born again" and started pressuring me to go to church, among other things. :beli:

My close fam pretty much knows where I stand. My grandfather/grandmother are devoutly religious, but also very liberal and pluralist. They don't believe their faith is the only way, and they don't preach to anyone. My mother's generation is in between. Sometimes she says religious things, other times she's a harsh critic of religion. I think she sways between belief and disbelief herself, though I guess you could call her a "spiritual" person. I think it was having a more liberal family that allowed me to question things and end up where I am.

I tried that that one time, along with a bunch of other shyt. Thought I was on to something, until I ended up in county jail facing some cac judge with a gavel that She don't mind using. Needless to say, that prayer got me out of a situation that other stuff couldn't think of doing. Ive learned one thing, everyone has beliefs, but when it's time for you to face a deathly illness, or something else worse, better make sure what you believe is strong enough to bring you back

There's no need to even compare whether or not its harder to find a black atheist woman/man. Hands down black women are much more religious. That is actually one of the many issues I have with the church. It makes its money off of the insecurities of black women.

No, it's not. It's just that the vast majority of the men you may be attracted to, who are socially aware, who aren't swagless, who may have a decent career - will more than likely be religious.

But that sh1t doesn't matter anyway. My girl is an atheist (back n forth between that and agnostic)... and kinda talks sh1t when something comes up; but we respect each other as people.
