Not 15 years. Hip hop ain’t been around that long but yeah it moves in cycles. The old regime is aging out

Swing music made a comeback in the late 90's and there are still bands doing shows from that waveSwing but that’s out of 50 years

Rap won't be extinct. But rap is already uncool compared to before and I expect rap music to go down heavily within the decade.
That's a good thing because we need people dabbling in other genres instead of fukking up Hip Hop. That will probably lead to a second boom period for Hip Hop later down the line.

Hip Hop runs the world now. It's not going anywhere.
What will vanish, are the wack sub-genres that pop up in Rap every few years. Those trends aren't gonna last, as we already see. But Hip Hop's core and what it represents is too globally dominant to ever go anywhere. It's how we all live and operate now, without even noticing it. Waves die, culture doesn't. Hip Hop will always be the dominant force in music.
