death proof was fukkin' horrible. whenever sydney poitier, vanessa ferlito, rosario dawson and every other actress opened their mouths to say somethin, it was like you could hear him talkin' :bryan:
tarantino gave no fukks with that movie and wasn't even tryin'. it was just one long homage to his damn self :camby:

robert rodriguez had a far better film with planet terror

It sucks because I actually loved the concept of Grindhouse with the double feature films. I think Death Proof is what ruined it, made it flop and is the reason we'll never see anything like Grindhouse in theaters again. The only thing people remember about Grindhouse are scenes from Planet Terror & the Machete trailer which eventually turned into it's own thing.

django was his worst film, easily.

death proof was weird..

that movie probably had the biggest 180 turn (from classic to trash) since 'sunshine'

the story with the first group of girls was awesome. dialogue was snappy, music choices were perfect. kurt was awesome, and the crash was very memorable

and then the second group of girls comes it...:dahell: easily the WOAT tarantino characters i've seen. the dialogue falls off and gets annoying, and they ruin kurt russell's character. it was like what the fukk happend :what: the second half was just bizarre as hell

if death proof had been a 30 minute short film that ended at the crash it probably would've been my favorite tarantino flick

that was a robert rodriguez film

Conveniently left out leo. Your shade continues
It's not shade. I just think he's overrated and don't understand the outrage when he doesn't win an Oscar as if there aren't other actors on this planet:manny:
So tarantino is basically adam sandler's final form according to this thread

That's clearly hyperbole. He's M. Night Shyamalan but with a gimmick that has a very long shelf life and actually produces entertaining, if not at this point predictable, movies:manny:

Agreed.

i look at it like i look at Joss Whedon dialogue. Just him being himself.

It's like reading a comic book and they switch writing/art teams, each creator has their own flair that's consistent. That kinda shyt doesn't bother me.
