I figured AT&T would eventually blow shyt up when they took over WB but its happened a lot faster than I expected it to.

And Discovery fukked up by thinking people were interested enough in shyt like 90 Fiance and My 600lb Life to actually pay a monthly fee for it.

The best bet for them would be to fold that shyt into HBO Max as a hub because Discovery Plus was always gonna flop.
Wait what’s happening now?

ATT is selling Warner Media to Discovery and the two media companies are going to merge with the Discovery CEO taking over.

Discovery launched their own streaming service this year called Discovery+ that I am pretty sure isn't hot in the streets so I assume they will fold that into HBO Max as a hub.

A lot of the brass want(ed) out. That's not a good sign for Warner properties if the experienced people get replaced by newcomer suits. Zucker might be convinced to stay.

AT&T to spin off HBO, other WarnerMedia assets in a huge deal with Discovery. What went wrong?

Another big winner could be CNN President Jeff Zucker, who also oversees WarnerMedia’s Turner Sports. Zucker announced in January that he planned to leave the company at the end of 2021, when his contract expires, but Zucker has a close friendship with Zaslav going back to the days when they were both ambitious executives scaling the corporate ranks at NBC.

A close associate of Zucker at CNN, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Zucker would probably stick around should Zaslav oversee the new venture. Under Zucker’s tenure, CNN has delivered strong financial results for the news channel. Insiders said he had become disillusioned by the AT&T-imposed cost-cutting that has occurred across WarnerMedia

HBO might not want to damage its brand hosting shows like 90 Day Fiance. I watch those shows and even I'll admit it's trash television.

Eh, I don’t see how it’ll damage HBO’s brand. Max is WarnerMedia’s streaming service, and those shows can easily be inputted in its own hub. Trash or not it’ll cater to a select audience. HBO will keep chugging out prestige content at the end of the day.

Word, all this new company needs to do is a amp up the international expansion and more content.
