He also said, with the mayor standing next to him, that ending the concert early could have made things worse and spark a riot. That’s one of the biggest criticisms right now, that he didn’t shut it down once shyt got crazy. And now the mayor and police chief are saying he shouldn’t have stopped the concert.

Travis will have some civil suits out of this but he’s far from done. 2022 or 2023 they will probably have Astroworld in a seated venue like NRG stadium and that’s it.


This will be long forgotten once the next big thing draws America’s attention. It’s the same shyt over and over. Every time something happens you goofs starting saying “This is it!!! This is it!!!” And a week later nobody is discussing it.

“Police chief said no fire code violations and the venue could hold 4x the number of people that actually attended.” - The issue was moreso about the zoning of sections of the venue like the main stage that was barricaded incorrectly that actually encouraged a crowd crush that did 90% of the damage. Organizers actually created bottleneck areas that put fans in MORE danger because of where and how the barricades were situated, which is why when the surge happened and more ppl began pouring into the main GP section to see the headliner, ppl were literally stuck in place. Imprisoned by dozens of bodies per square foot. layers of ppl trapped in a bottleneck that caused hysteria as the night wore on.

Artist could get training on crowd control management.. their voice/instructions can directly affect the flow and energy of the atmosphere that dictate certain factors.. even if it’s just reminding everyone to look after everyone staying on the look out to unusual manic activity, encouraging audience to be cognizant of everyone around them.. emphasis in those areas can make a huge difference
