His rise to superstardom since Astroworld has been crazy to see. I'm likeis this the same dude known for using ghostwriters, jacking beats, taking dudes swag lol?
He's definitely capitalized on that whole Cudi/Future alt rap-singer wave to new heights but now when I literally see his demographic it makes sense. Him becoming more popular than A$AP Rocky still shocks me but is less surprising considering the direction of hip-hop.
Asap Rocky becoming a part time rapper while focusing more on fashion along with ASAP Mob losing steam opened up the doors for Travis to take his spot.
These Gen Z’rs don’t remember when Travis was clowned for biting Rocky’s look & aesthetics. He was always called out on biting & stealing peoples style, swag, ideas etc. Doing his day 1’s dirty, allegedly having a sex slave locked in his basement and etc.
There was a time period where people were calling him out for his fukkery but once he got with Kylie, he did a slight rebrand and started leveling the fukk up. Those voices started to disappear because the Kardashian Klan got a stronghold on the media.
Astroworld took him to the fukking moon as well…it was just the perfect storm for Travis to become a superstar but it was a team effort by his handlers. The album was very good…I can’t even lie.
His music is cool for a vibe and that’s what Gen Z loves. shyt I’m only a year older than Travis…He’s a millennial just like I am but millennials aren’t going to festivals in droves like that..Gen Z are and that’s where the money is. The spoiled, rich white, Asians that are hypebeasts that still cares about what’s cool and shyt.
I understand the popularity….Travis is the closest thing to a true rockstar we have in hip hop right now which is the #1 genre in the world.
Travis Scott ain’t a person…it’s a brand at this point.

As far as continuing to sing, I think Apple streaming it got his head a little bit and wanted to keep the show rolling while ensuring dude got to safety. That demonic spiritual shyt people claiming is corny.
Same with spotting the ambulance. A normal show I think he woulda figured out why that joint was there. Been to a few Trav concerts and watched all of them on YT and never seen that before.
All around bad. Travis, Security, communication, untrained medical staff, etc.

I thought he was on demon time for not acknowledging shyt. But I saw several videos where he kept asking what was going on and even pointing out that people needed assistance. He thought some people fainted, and even mentioned it. I don’t think he knew they were dying.
Apparently he couldn’t hear or see anything, so he was reliant on people in his ear piece to tell him what was going on and they told him keep going.
Not making excuses for him, but I do now legitimately believe he wasn’t aware of how bad it was. A lot of videos out there illustrate that. But that doesn’t really matter, everybody is coming for his neck now.

I don’t understand how this isn’t getting more media. 8 people dead and hundreds injured? I’m not saying to blame Travis but someone has to pay for this fukk shyt and I we know he saw people being taken out on stretchers and was still performing like it was nothing. And that apology!? Lol, smh.
