I struggle with this...
You have to be under 35...
Hulk Hogan and it's not even open for debate...

Hulk Hogan has never not been a huge deal since he's been with the big companies.

Stone Cold use to be Stunning Steve Austin a fake British character in the WCW he was the TV Champion forever...

His finishing move was dropping your neck on the top rope it was called the "Stun Gun"...

Hulk Hogan never a common wrestler in WWF or WCW...

Let me simplify this...
Everybody knows who Hulk Hogan is...

Totally aware...

I just have a serious problem with the argument that the same "everybody" that knows who Hogan is wouldn't know who Austin is

Hulk ain't even my era like that but yeah Stone Cold's hype wasn't seeing him like that.

Matter fact, that whole Attitude Era came and went very fast in comparison. Iconic but short lived looking back

Even though this man gets the :mjpls:, there's no denying his contributions to the game outweigh Austin's:

  • He saved the business from imploding
  • He crossed towards pop culture
  • Made WCW a huge threat to the WWF
  • Had one one of the biggest wrestling matches of all time (Andre/Hogan)
  • Dropped a leg on Gawker
The W's outweigh the Ls, but still fukk Hulk :mjpls:

Your first point is horrible considering ratings were in the toilet with HBK being the face of the company mid 90s...

Austin saved The WWF when it needed saving like Hogan did

Hulkamania

I was born in '86 and barely remember Hulk in his prime, but I got one of his action figures for my birthday (like Jan of '90). I'm barely in Pre-K and remember dude being "the man." Stone Cold/Rock was better though. Stone Cold was the anti-hero and dude could catch more beers in one hand than anyone I've ever seen.

I'm talking about the 80s mainly during the territory days. Sure, Austin saved the WWF from dying, Hogan saved wrestling itself from dying. The territories weren't going to last and wrestling hit a huge peak when Hogan came through along with countless others.
