As an old school wrestling fan......from the Bob Backlund era....hurts me to say that for as big as Hulkamania was......that Stone Cold Steve Austin became an even more popular draw and name.

Hulkkk Hogan by a mile. Rasslin' popularity exploded when he was with WWE as it was a national promotion compared to before the WWE, wrestling was regional.
Sold more merch better ratings more ppv buys this is well known in wrestling circles lol. He basically saved the wwe from going under along with the rock of course.
