It's pretty obvious that the female Eivor is canon. The whole rivalry with Fulke felt so weird as male Eivor. Also there has been numerous times when they've called me a her.

43 hours in unless something dramatic happens Ima beat this one. I beat Origins and tapped out of Odyssey after 5 hours for reference.

Yup. I think Ubisoft Montreal developing this one (they did Origins too) is probably why I like it so much compared to Odyssey.

I dunno Odyssey had too much I guess freedom...I'm not too sure hot to articulate it but there was too many side shyt and ancillary systems like the whole war and different sides thing involved for me. The narrative in Odyssey IMO seems to be on the back burner. I feel like Origin and this one to a lesser extent the narrative is more focused.

See, that's precisely why I loved it. It harkened back to the ancient Greek tales and was literally like an epic Greek Odyssey. I felt like Odysseus must have. The mercenary system needed refining but the Cult of Kosmos assassination tree was a joy and gave me incentive to complete a lot of the side missions. I can see why some felt overwhelmed or didn't care for it, but I personally loved setting sail for an objective and stopping on an island en route because there were half a dozen side quests between me & the current story objective. My only complaint was the copy & paste forts.

Origins brought me back, odyssey burnt me out, this shyt is just not holding my attention. I like that they brought some of the earlier elements back. But I don't see myself finishing this game.
