You have to understand the only people who usually raid and catch the enemy by suprise is SF. Most of the rest of us are tied up because of Rules of Engagement. And the mission changes. Sometimes you are handing out books to the locals other times you are assisting the police. The people with the most kills will always be aviatiors. For example the main thing we ended up doing was letting the Afghan Army take the lead. Hell it's there country.

Army is better in terms of career, benefits etc. Marines are the b*stard step children of the navy, barely get any funding. Much more money flowing through the Army

Marines are better if you want to a get marine tattoo, and walk around with you chest puffed out cuz you can deal with the suck better. Oh, and they have better commercials

Both my parents were Army, they suggested if I go than I should go in the Air Force and STRONGLY discouraged the Marines for those same reasons.
